Solar Panel Safety

Staying safe with solar panels

Clean Energy recommends that only suitably qualified electricians look after any issue related to any aspect of your solar panel system.
Examples of issues where we’d recommend immediately contacting a qualified electrician, include signs of water ingress (when you see water in your electrical enclosures), sparks or charring, minor electrical shocks, or signs of damage to your solar panel system.

Inverter faults and errors

If your inverter is experiencing a fault or error message, this could be resolved by trying the 'Shut Down and Start Up' procedure. If you’re going to try this yourself, please carefully follow the instructions provided to you at the time of installation. If you don’t have these available, we recommend getting in touch with a qualified electrician to help you with this process. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to assist you with this over the phone.
